Osceola, Arkansas gets new heavy slitter
Arkansas Steel Processing is installing a heavy gauge slitter in Osceola, Arkansas. This is the same US municipality that is hosting Big River Steel.
The slitter will be able to process flat-rolled material from 14 gauge to 5/8-inch in coil weights up to 100,000 pounds and with diameters up to 78 inches, Kallanish learns from a company release. The slitter's annual capacity is about 300,000 short tons.
