New equipment helps Mechel increase iron ore shipments

Mechel’s Korshunovsky (KGOK) mine increased iron ore sales in February to 131,000 tonnes, up by 28% compared to the previous month and 56% on-year, Kallanish notes. Most of the production was sent to the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant, with some shipped to a number of other steelmakers in the Urals and Western Siberia.
