Neville Island coke plant to close
DTE Energy has decided to close its Pittsburgh-area coke plant due to a “… sharp downturn in the North American steel industry,” Kallanish learns from a company release.
The 56-oven Shenango Inc coke battery on Neville Island will close in mid-January, the company says. About 173 workers will be affected.
