Nepal looks to extract local iron ore
Nepal's Ministry of Industries, Commerce and Supplies said on Sunday that the government is looking to extract iron ore from Dhaubadhi VDC area of the Nawalparasi district, Kallanish notes.
The deposit has more than 8 million tonnes of reserves and is the largest potential iron ore mine in Nepal, the Ministry said. Last year, local geologists discovered the iron ore deposits 22 kilometres from the Dhaubadhi VDC highway.
