Negative sentiment drags Turkish merchant bar down further
Turkish merchant bar producers decreased their export quotes further last week as sentiment in the market was quite negative amid insufficient demand.
On Friday, producers’ export quotes were pegged mostly at around $615-625/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $625-635/t for IPN-UPN sections, $635-645/t for flat bars, and $625-635/t for IPE sections. This is down $5/t on-week from the low end of the previous week’s ranges, Kallanish notes.
