Power deal boosts Myanmar’s industrial development

Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries reports it has signed a build-operate-transfer deal for a 225MW gas-fired power plant in Myanmar’s Mingyan. Myanmar plans to expand its capacity at the No.4 Steel Works in Mingyan, Kallanish notes. The $300 million gas-fired power plant is due to be completed next year, Sembcorp says.
