Myanmar sees new Taiwanese steel fabrication investment
Taiwan’s Century Iron and Steel Industrial says it will invest an additional $8 million in expanding its structural steel plant in Myanmar’s Thilawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The zone is a hub for steel investments in the country, with Japanese, Singaporean, Australian and Thai companies all planning steel-related facilities there, Kallanish notes.
