Myanmar railway upgrades to boost steel
Myanmar is seeking loans from South Korea and Japan to support its local railway upgrade. This is according to a speech by U Thant Sin Maung, Myanmar's minister for transport and communications, Kallanish notes.
There will be loans from Japan for $377.72 million, and from Korea for $125m. The minister said that the Japanese loans will support the construction in Yangon-Taunggo section of the Yangon-Mandalay line. The Korean loans meanwhile will be used to…
