Mughal targets fourth-quarter capacity expansion commissioning
Mughal Steel expects to complete the commissioning of its bar and sections capacity expansion in the fourth quarter after foreign engineers were allowed back into the country amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The expansion was previously disrupted due to movement restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic (see Kallanish passim). Once it is completed, rolling capacity will increase to 968,000 tonnes/year from 688,000 t/y.
