Mt Gibson remains hopeful despite challenging quarter
Despite a challenging first quarter of the financial year 2021-2022, Australian miner Mount Gibson says it still remains hopeful over full-year performance.
In the September quarter, the firm mined 586,000 wet metric tonnes of iron ore, posting an increase of 58.8% quarter-on-quarter but a decrease of 29.1% year-on-year. Sales volume meanwhile totalled 439,000 wmt, down 8.7% from the preceding quarter and 68% y-o-y, Kallanish notes.
