Mount Gibson approves Koolan Island restart
Australia’s Mount Gibson Iron hopes to restart mining at the Koolan Island after the site was flooded in 2014. The miner has decided the AUD 97 million ($73m) cost of a new seawall is ultimately worth it, Kallanish notes.
