MSCI: Steel shipments, inventories fall in January
US and Canadian service centre steel shipments dipped in January, though inventory positions appear to have “… improved slightly” in both countries, Kallanish learns from the Metals Service Center Institute.
US steel service centre shipments fell -13.3% year on year while Canadian shipments fell -4%. Both declines are approximately equal to the year-on-year declines witnessed in December, MSCI says.
