MRC realises loss in Q1
Pipe, valve and fittings manufacturer MRC Global Inc recorded a loss in the first quarter despite shedding its oil country tubular goods business earlier in the year, Kallanish reports.
MRC’s loss in Q1 was $14 million on sales of $783m. In Q1 2015, the company turned a profit of $29m on sales of $1.29 billion.
MRC sold its OCTG business to Sooner Pipe for $48m in February. In 2015, MRC’s US OCTG sales totalled more than $305m.
