MRC Global sees prices, profits jump in 2018
US tubular goods supplier MRC Global Inc saw a 17% year-on-year increase in sales in 2018 to $4.1 billion, Kallanish reports. Net income for the year is reported at $50 million, which is a 92% increase over $26m in 2017.
According to company cfo James Braun, line pipe prices increased in the first half of 2018 due to tariffs and quotas before levelling off and declining in the second half of the year.
