Mount Gibson sees lower iron ore reserves
Australian iron ore producer Mount Gibson’s total mineral resources are estimated at 59.8 million tonnes of iron ore at an average grade of 62.2% Fe, compared with 67.4mt in 2021 at 61.7% Fe, Kallanish notes.
Koolan Island ore reserves stand at 16mt at 65.4% Fe, confirming its status as Australia’s highest-grade direct shipping hematite iron ore operation, and underpinning the next 4-5 years of high-grade production, the firm says.
