Mount Gibson reports lower iron ore reserves
Australian miner Mount Gibson Iron has reported lower mineral resources of 41.5 million tonnes of iron ore at an average grade of 63.3% Fe as at 30 June. This compares to 59.8mt at 62.2% Fe a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
The miner says in a statement that its total ore reserves are estimated at 12.4mt at an average grade of 65.2% Fe, as compared to 16mt at 65.4% Fe.
