Mount Gibson iron ore sales fall
Australian iron ore producer Mount Gibson's iron ore sales totalled 450,000 tonnes wet metric tonnes (wmt) of high-grade fines in the September 2022 quarter, a reduction of 260,000t wmt from the prior period, Kallanish notes.
The fall reflected the temporary impact of a fire in the product sizing screen area within the Koolan Island crushing plant on 12 August 2022.
The iron ore sales translated into revenue of AUD 62 million ($39.69m) on an fob basis.
