More Chinese steelmakers halt iron and bar output
More Chinese steel mills have released maintenance plans, according to their published sources. Four more steelmakers have announced they will halt their ironmaking or bar output in August, Kallanish notes.
Shandong Luli Iron & Steel plans to carry out additional maintenance on its bar mill as from 6 August, which is expected to reduce bar output by 100,000 tonnes in August. Xining Special Steel meanwhile intends to halt it…
