More Chinese steelmakers settle long-term coking coal contracts
Shanxi Coking Coal Group (SXCC), has just signed its second batch of long-term coking coal supply contracts with eight steelmakers, Kallanish learns from the company. China’s central government will continue its capacity elimination campaigns in the steel and coal industries next year. Steelmakers with long-term coking coal supply contracts will have a more stable supply and more controllable steel costs as a consequence, Kallanish notes.
