Mongolia Energy Corp suspends coking coal mine operations
Mongolia Energy Corporation (MEC) has temporarily suspended the operation of its Khushuut coking coal mine, even though Mongolia has resumed coal exports to China, Kallanish notes.
MEC has ceased major on-site mining operations at the mine, including overburden removal and coal extraction and placed part of the mining workforce on leave until further notice.
