Moldova Steel Works resumes production, eyes ramp-up
Moldova Steel Works (MMZ) has resumed operations, according to local television reports monitored by Kallanish.
On 10 May, the electric arc furnace and sections rolling mill were restarted, but only in one-shift operation. Work in the scrap feedstock processing department is in full swing. The firm plans to receive deliveries of as much raw material as possible in May, with about a hundred rail cars of scrap to arrive every day, it claims.
