Modulax Siderurgia to produce pig iron in Argentina
Brazilian Modulax Siderurgia (MS) foresees an investment of almost $65 million for the development of pig iron production in Argentina, Kallanish learns from the company.
The company plans to build a plant in the Formosa province with a 160 cubic metre blast furnace that can produce 144,000 tonnes/year of pig iron and generate 3,310 new jobs, MS chief executive Gerarldo Basques explained during a public hearing to local authorities.
