Sail's modernised ISP exports first bloom consignment
Steel Authority of India (Sail)’s recently-modernised IISCO plant (ISP) has dispatched its first export consignment of steel blooms – a 2,764-tonne cargo to Nepal for use in post-earthquake reconstruction.
The blooms will be used for rolling quake-resistant TMT bars. A second consignment will be dispatched in the first week of August, bringing the combined shipment to 5,500t, Kallanish learns from Sail.
