MMK readies upgraded hot strip mill restart
Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel (MMK) has almost completed the upgrade of the 2500 hot rolling mill, the company says.
This will expand the size and grade assortment of the mill, significantly improve the quality of products and increase the unit’s capacity to 5.3 million tonnes/year, Kallanish notes.
