MMK Q1 revenue plunges on lower prices
MMK’s consolidated revenue plummeted -30.5% on-year in the first quarter to $1.05 billion due to a $140/tonne average sales price drop and -5.4% reduced shipments, Kallanish learns from the Russian steelmaker. But the firm returned to a net profit of $397 million versus a loss of $7m in Q1 2015 due primarily to positive effect of foreign currency translation.
