MMK Metalurji targets exports as domestic sales fall
MMK Metalurji reported a -30.6% on-quarter decline in steel sales in the third quarter to 137,000 tonnes. This happens as the firm looks to offset lower demand in the Turkish domestic market by raising exports to Europe and North Africa.
Hot-dip galvanized coil sales fell -24.5% in Q3 to 113,000t and polymer-coated steel deliveries dropped -47.1% to 21,000t. Hot rolled coil sourced from MMK sales declined -59.6% to 4,000t.
