MMK Metalurji hot rolling restart on hold
Russian steelmaker MMK's Turkish steel mill MMK Metalurji will not resume hot rolling this year, with the decision to restart the mill postponed until the end of 2019, MMK's CFO Andrey Eremin said in a conference call Friday.
Citing the poor economic climate in the country, which affects demand for HRC, pushing Turkish domestic producers to seek new export markets, Eremin said the restart will not be consiered until the economic situation is clearer.
