MMK improves quality control during production
Russian steelmaker’s MMK-Informservise has launched an automated system for recording work and back-up rolls in the sheet-rolling shop No. 11, the company tells Kallanish.
The system is based on data obtained from new generation flaw detectors. The economic effect of the project, which was implemented as part of MMK's digitalization strategy, is expected to be more than RUB 16 million ($300,000) a year.
