MMK commissions Danieli Corus to reline blast furnace
Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel (MMK) has commissioned Danieli Corus to reline its blast furnace no.9, the engineering firm says.
The relining process will be completed with the "Hoogovens" cooling and lining design based on copper place coolers and high conductivity graphite refractories. Another MMK blast furnace, no.1, has been operating the same technology since 2017.
