MISIF revises down Malaysia's apparent steel consumption forecast
The Malaysian Iron and Steel Industry Federation (MISIF) has revised down Malaysia's apparent steel consumption (ASC) forecast for 2023 on global uncertainties.
The association deputy president and chief executive of Malaysian steel maker Mycron, Roshan Abdullah, says in a trade forum held by MISIF, attended by Kallanish, that the association currently expects Malaysia's ASC to grow 4% to 7.8mt in 2023 from 7.5mt in 2022.
