Miory Steel expands tinplate production in CIS
Belarus-based Miory Steel, part of MMPZ Group, has produced the first tonnes of tinplate with a thickness of 0.1 mm, the company says.
According to the development strategy for the current year, the plant plans produce at least 10,000 tonnes/month of products, based on the design capacity of the equipment, Kallanish notes. It also plans to produce and sell cold-rolled annealed steel.
