Minyuan Steel targets new facilities after merging Xinpu
China’s Minyuan Iron & Steel Group plans to add new ironmaking and steelmaking facilities after merging with Xinpu Steel, according to the capacity replacement plan released by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province.
Between July 2023 and July 2025, Minyuan Steel intends to build a 1,280 cubic metre-blast furnace with 1.18 million tonne/year of iron capacity, Kallanish notes.
