MinRes joins Brockman in iron ore venture
Australia’s Mineral Resources (MinRes) has signed a joint venture agreement with Brockman Mining for the Marillana iron ore project. The deal brings Brockman into the MinRes fold, leaving Todd Corp in the cold, Kallanish notes.
The agreement would see the pair run the Marillana project as a 50-50 joint venture. The pair envisage a $300 million investment to ramp up the operation to 20 million tonnes/year, with the potential to reach 30m t/y. It w…
