Mining leads Mechel profitability boost
Mechel posted a 9% on-year increase in revenue in 2016 to RUB 276.01 billion ($4.83 billion) and turned to a net profit of RUB 7.13 billion from a loss of RUB 115.16 billion in 2015.
The Russian miner and steelmaker’s Ebitda rose 45% in 2016 to RUB 66.16 billion while Ebitda margin grew to 24% from 18%.
