Mine closures to hamper Indian steel production: FIMI
The closure of several Indian chromite and manganese mines at the end of March 2020 will significantly hamper national ferroalloys and steel production, warns the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries (FIMI).
Seven manganese and four chromite mines are set to cease production, wiping out around 16% of manganese ore and 50% of chromite supply from the domestic market.
