Mill restocking lifts scrap prices in Spain
Scrap prices in Spain have risen by almost €10/tonne ($11.8/t) since the beginning of August after being stable for more than three weeks.
There were some attempts by large mills in July to push up levels, but the market did not generally accept the hikes. Current prices should remain stable in August, supported by local demand and higher scrap buying levels seen in the Turkish market, Kallanish learns from market sources.
