UAE secondary mills struggle for April rebar sales
The United Arab Emirates rebar retail market has softened and sentiment become lacklustre. Secondary mills’ sales have consequently dropped substantially. Although this is typical during Ramadan, it has not happened on this scale before, local sources tell Kallanish.
Secondary mills refrained until Monday from going below AED 2,520-2,530/tonne ($686-689) delivered and managed to sell a combined tonnage of only 15,000 tonnes for April delivery.
