MIIT eyes 1.15 billion tonne capacity low-emissions upgrade

In China, a further 530 million tonnes/year of steel capacity and 460m t/y of coking capacity will be upgraded to conform to ultra-low emissions standards by the end of 2025. This is according to the "Green Industrial Development Plan for the Fourteenth Five-Year Period" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
