Midrex breaks one billion tonne DRI goal
Direct-reduced iron (DRI) producer Midrex Technologies hit a production milestone in June, Kallanish learns from a company statement.
Midrex crested 1 billion tonnes of DRI in June. The company, which began operation in 1969 in Portland, Oregon, achieved its first 500 million tonnes in 2007. Its second 500mt took just 11 years, the company points out.
