Middle East steel output shrinks 2.4% in 2015
Crude steel production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by the World Steel Association’s monthly report declined -2.4% on-year in 2015 to 27.37 million tonnes. This represented a reversal in fortunes from 2014 when the Middle East recorded far stronger growth – at 7.9% – than any other of the world’s regions.
