Middle East steel output rebounds in February
Crude steel output in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report rebounded from zero growth in January, surging 22% on-year in February to 2.93 million tonnes.
Output grew in all four countries, with largest producer Iran seeing an estimated 21.7% growth to 2.02mt. This took January-February production up 7.6% on-year to 4.25mt.
