Mid-East steel output fails to grow in January
Crude steel output in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report was flat on-year in January at 3.23 million tonnes.
This came despite Iranian output declining an estimated -2.6% to 2.23mt in January, the country’s first monthly drop in production since February 2016.
