Mid-East raises output, more countries join statistics: worldsteel
Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman and Yemen have started reporting production data to worldsteel, thereby increasing the number of Middle Eastern countries reported in the association’s monthly statistics to ten.
Their combined crude steel output in October rose by 17.4% on-month and 5% on-year to 4.99 million tonnes. January-October production totalled 43.38 million tonnes, almost the same as last year's 43.37mt, notes Kallanish.
