Mid-East DRI output halts rising trend in June
Direct reduced iron production in the four Middle Eastern countries covered by worldsteel’s monthly report declined -5% on-year in June to 2.18 million tonnes. This brings to an end three consecutive months of increases, Kallanish learns from worldsteel. The slowing growth rate in Iran meant the country was not enough to offset declines in the other three nations.
