Mexico's steelmaking raw materials' output dips in May
Mexican iron ore, pellet and first-grade coke production continued to perform poorly year-on-year in May, according to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi) data monitored by Kallanish.
In May, the Mexican iron ore production amounted to 974,924 tonnes, a -21.9% fall y-o-y. This volume was, however, almost 191,354t more or 24.4% higher compared to that in April.
