Mexico’s May rebar, wire rod production decrease sequentially
Mexican rebar and wire rod production was weaker in May compared to the previous month. Both, however, were significantly higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi)’s preliminary report, Mexico produced 254,534 tonnes of rebar in May, approximately 8.5% less month-on-month but 114,493t more on-year.
