Mexico’s Ahmsa temporarily halts heavy sections output
Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) has temporarily halted heavy sections production, Kallanish notes. According to unions, the measure follows weakening steel demand.
"The workforce will retain all of its rights and will be relocated to other production areas of Ahmsa, with the hope that production will resume soon,” unions observe.
