Mexico steel imports rise by 30% in January
Mexican steel imports grew by nearly 30% year-on-year to 923,625 tonnes in January 2016, exceeding the total imports recorded January 2015 by 200,000t, Kallanish learns from the Mexican tariff information system (Siavi). The data from the first month highlights a -46.6% decrease in Chinese imports into Mexico to under 40,000t.
