Mexico highlights products requiring export/import permission
The Mexican government has announced a new list of steel products whose import and export is subject to prior permission being granted, Kallanish learns from the Mexican Ministry of Economy (MME).
The measure is aimed at supporting the local steel industry which “… has been affected by the decline in global demand for steel, overcapacity in steel production in China and the devaluation of the Russian rouble”, the official document states.
