Mexican steel exports to US retreat in June
After the progressive increases recorded from March onwards, the volume of steel exports from Mexico to the US fell in June, Kallanish learns from US trade administration department preliminary data.
Exports of Mexican steel products into the US shrank by -3.4% year-on-year to 178,221 tonnes in June. Due to restrained levels of imports from both Turkey and Russia, Mexico was the fourth largest source of steel products, behind South Korea, Canada and Brazil.
